It’s been six weeks since we returned to Perth. Although the newness is still there we are feeling settled and back into daily life.

Many  have asked what is our next trip, so while we aren’t ready to jump into the caravan again soon, Karijini and the top end is definitely on the cards for a smaller trip somewhere down the track.

The aim of our Australia trip was to do as many parkruns as possible and in the end we ended up doing nearly thirty. Not bad considering parkruns are not on  in every town we visited. Where there weren’t any, we joined local  Fun Runs Mackay Marine Fun Run, Capricorn Coast Fun Run , Yeppoon and Bowen.

The four parkruns  that stood out were Main Beach Gold Coast, where we met with David’s daughter, Lydia & her family from England.  Next was Kawana, on the Sunshine Coast, a great coastal path & boardwalk run from the Surfclub around the lighthouse (Near Mooloobah) with very special friends  Denis & Lyn from Buderim.  Next was the Mt Gambier parkrun which was an awesome hilly run around the rim of the Blue Lake. Lastly, a favourite area of ours, Noosa. The run was around a residential parkland area at Noosaville.  In all of the parkruns, the hospitality and organization offered was wonderful.
