Still on track for a 3-3.30pm finish for todayDavid and Brian started the morning at 6.45am and ran 28kms without a break. They have been running so fast I’ve had to tell them to slow down. Looking very tired from the warmth of the sun they ended up stopping for a well earned break at Cockburn Gateway – David has a massive blister on his big toe. They are now only 5kms away and I’m hoping that the clouds keep away until they arrive. Hi to you all
Yes Dad did finish. Celebrations on his arrival Friday were quieter than we hoped but yesterday made up for it.
Yesterday the Masters Athletics group put on a fabulous welcome for Dad at a place called Wireless Hill (we are going to take the boys to). We then enjoyed a great birthday breakfast for one of our runners and 20+ guests.
In the afternoon we met up with the family and grandchildren at Gemma and Nathan Snr’s house. All in all it was a lovely weekend.
Can’t wait to see you in December.
