It has been over three days since David finished the Outback Run.
He arrived in Alice Springs at 3.15pm to be greeted by the Mayor of Alice Springs and Prostate Representatives with their barrows, and a spruiker announcing David’s tremendous run which was great because there were a lot of people in the mall who were there to be able to congratulate him.
Unbeknown to me the support vehicle positioned up the mall was the centre of an emergency. It was positioned in the centre where an underground clay water had burst and water was bubbling up from underground. Emergency staff were looking for the owner and it wasn’t until David came up the mall that we could see the problem so we quickly moved it before it sank!
Since finishing the event, David has been taking a well earned break and resting his overworked feet.

Hello to you all
Thank you for your emails. We are now having a much needed rest. David’s leg is still not right and is at least two weeks away from him being able to run on it again.
We think it is a stress fracture.
We have left Alice Springs and are now in Katherine in the Northern Territory on our way to Kakadu National Park, then onto Darwin and the West Coast of Western Australia.
