With only two days to go we are busy preparing the vehicle for the event. Stocking up with food and ensuring that water bottles, supplements, Powerade etc are all available and accessible from the Control Centre (car)
David hasn’t over trained with his running for this event and has instead been using gyms along the way to keep up his strength knowing that like the last event, his strength (loss of body weight) will be affected when he starts running non stop.
David is aiming to do the event in under 21 days so we will be doing a countdown to see if it will be 18, 19, 20 or 21 days that he does it in.
Tonight we will be doing a talk on our adventures to the Alice Springs Rotary who have been very supportive of David.
Pictured below are some of the scenes around our caravan park at The Gap in Alice Springs. The young family are from Denmark (Europe) visiting Uluru with their parents who are in Adelaide doing a 12 months contract with the medical profession.
Trees are essential anywhere but in Alice Springs they are a necessity, so it makes sense to build your house around them rather than cut them down!
