3 days to go to the start of the Outback Challenge

Hi Everyone

There are now only 3 days to go before the start of the Outback Challenge.  The weather has cooled dramatically from the 35 it was only two weeks ago and people keep telling us how lucky iwe are in choosing May as daytime temperatures are now 25-28c.

David is ready and looking forward to the new challenge.  He has  been training using the streets of Alice Springs to keep up his kilometres.

The Alice Springs Mayor is to send Dave off from the centre of the Todd Mall.  Accompanying Dave  will be up to 6 Prostate and Breast Cancer members with  wheelbarrows as he runs the 400m of the mall.  Behind them will be the support car and van with music playing.  Should be a bit of fun.

Above are some pictures of Alice Springs taken from Anzac Hill which overlooks the town and gives spectacular 360 degree views.  In one of the pictures is a straight road leading to gap in the ranges.  This is the road  David will run out on Friday heading in a southerly direction.

The 100 Vietnam Vets in Alice Springs for the Anzac Day march have now left.  Being 100 in number they created an impact on the town with their harley motorbikes.
