Hi Everyone
It won’t surprise you to learn that a new challenge is in the planning and is open to people wishing to join us whether it be running, cycling, or cooking.
The route is from Alice Springs to Ulluru and back which should take 3 -4 weeks and is 884kms.
The earliest we would be looking at is May and the latest June.
We are open to ideas.

G’day Dave and Jo,
Sounds interesting. I’d like to know more. Will the route be on sealed roads? I’d probably only be able to make it for about 7 days depending upon my finances at the time. How will it work given the different speeds i.e running vs push bike riding vs wheelbarrowing etc?
On a different note, I’d like to encourage you both to read The China Study by T. Colin Campbell. If your interested I’ll send you a copy. How can I get it to you?
Paul
Hi Paul
Lovely to hear from you.
It would be great to have you on board. The route is on sealed roads. Regarding cycling versus barrowing…David and I will have a chat and come back to you with some of our thoughts. Obviously you wouldn’t want to stay with Dave the whole way, so you may wish to go ahead and them come back to where we are when you finish.
Yes we would love it if you could also send us the book
Could you please send it to Jo Richardson C/O Post Office Byron Bay NSW..not sure of address.
Jo and David
Jo,
The China Study should be with you in Byron Bay mid February. Coming from Amazon.
Paul
oh that will be a walk in the park – only 884K – ARE YOU INSANE? your never going to stop are you? your like Forrest Gump – you’ll soon be growing a ZZ Top beard (ie really long and crazy) and just running around from one ocean to the other and all places in between and then back again – just because you can – and when you turn around there’s a whole bunch of people running behind you – they don’t know why they are there, but they keep following you anyway! RUN FORREST RUN!!!
Hi Laverne
Yes Forrest Gump …opphs I mean David, is mad.
Madness might be in the family so watch out Laverne!
Love Jo and Davidx
Hi Paul
Thanks for that. How much do we owe you? Just let us know and we will fix you up.
Jo and David
Jo and David,
No cost. My shout.
Paul
Thank you so much for that Paul. We owe you one!
Jo and David
Hello Paul
We noticed on the tv that the fires have been in Bendigo and were wondering how you are going and hope that you haven’t affected.
Jo and David.
G’day Jo and David,
Thankfully the bushfire missed us by about 4k. I watched it pass to the east. The winds were in our favour this time but who knows the next. Given that we should come to expect more extreme weather events more often due to global warming, I’ll have to start putting together a fire plan just in case. Thanks for your concern.
Paul
