Meet Maria …

Dave’s niece Maria arrived yesterday from England via Perth.

Unfortunately we missed her as she came through the arrival lounge and she had to text us to tell us she had arrived.  Opphhhs

Despite the start we managed to show her Manly after having been here a whole week we feel like locals.

Part way through our late lunch, a storm blew up and we had to go inside the cafe for cover.  Not to be beaten we then decided to do a leisurely tourist drive to Avalon and beautiful Palm Beach which turned out lovely but on our way home an electrical storm blew up.

Welcome to sunny Australia Maria

It was a perfect day here yesterday when we took Ria to Sydney ….no baking hot sun like Manduarah just beautiful clear skies and blue waters.

Thought she might like to see the place so we took her up the Sydney Tower.

Today Saturday is looking well…..damp. So we are taking Maria to the Kuringai National Forest which is close to where we are staying and then meeting with friends from Cambridge in Manly later tonight.

    Then its Bondi Beach tomorrow!

Hi- glad to hear you all had a great time seeing the sights of Sydney, back to a hard day at the beach tomo- plan to do the wave ski on Avalon and a quick trip out to lake Clifton to see the thrombolites!!! not sure about Kings park after the big fire- have to see what time permits. How long do you intend to stay in Manly?

    Hi Abbe

We are staying in Manly until the end of the month to get our car and van serviced.
We are also having our video of the journey made up.
So hopefully by then things should be read to start moving north to Byron Bay.

We didn’t know that there had been a fire at Kings Park. Did it do much damage?
    Jo and David
