So what does the Wheelbarrow Man do the day after a huge event.
Firstly he stays in bed longer….much longer. In fact Dave didn’t surface today until nearly 9am. Mind you he is allowed to after only getting to bed at 1am after a night out in Sydney with family and friends.
Then he goes running, but this time without his wheelbarrow. When Dave first started running he automatically went into his wheelbarrow style of running of not being able to swing his arms or lift his feet, but he found that it took some time to accept the reality of no longer having to control the barrow. No longer did he have to run stiff legged with his arms at his side. He had to talk to himself out aloud that he could now lift his legs higher and bring his arms up and swing them from side to side.
Dave the runner is back!
Because we have fallen short of our target of $100,000 we are going to keep fund raising as we travel around Australia.

Morning to you both, I’m not surprised Dad went out for a run. How much have you raised so far xx

We are still gathering figures but so far we have collected $20,000 on the road.
And Prostate have confirmed they have received $6,400 online and I banked $900 yesterday for Prostate also.

Hello Christine & Don
thank you so much for your email… we really appreciate your comments as noted ultra distance runners.
We are going to keep the website going until we return home in September. In the meantime we intend to promote the “Barrow of Hope” for fundraising.
Thanks again
Jo and Davidx
