This is the first chance we have had to get onto the website after a very busy hot 36c day.
Dave was running on the M5 today in extreme heat and finished very dehydrated at the Moorebank Interchange at Liverpool. From tomorrow Dave will be running on the less busy and hopefully safer footpaths and walkways of Canterbury and Parramatta Roads to get into Sydney.
We have been thrilled at the 19,758 views on our Progress page over the four months. We know that some of you have had trouble logging on so we apologize being novices ourselves we’ve been learning as we go along, so I hope you will forgive us.
Dave’s arrangements for his final run in are looking good. He will be leaving from Observatory Hill at 8.30am to run the final 14kms into Manly where he will be welcomed by the Mayor of Manly Jean Hay thanks to the help of local resident Bert Rose.
Those welcoming him in have been asked to wear something pink and blue so it should look great.
Pictured is Dave with nothing else better to do after a run doing a workout in his makeshift gym.

Ooh looking very manly on your way to Manly now uncle Dave – not too much Aussie dust left to kick up now – wish we could be there wearing pink to cheer you in, but we’ll be thinking of you – how emotional will that be? we’re all so proud of you – extreme in the extreme!!!! xx
gday jo and dave, youre almost there. sorry I missed you on the way back from the coast but you are just going too fast and you were past the canberra exit when I got back the next day. where abouts in manly are you running into and roughly what time do you expect to be there as I have a friend who wants to come down and cheer you on.
best of luck
