Jugiong tonight

After having past the Dog on the Tucker Box at Gundagai, we are on our way to Jugiong.

it is still very hot and humid but the wind has turned and it is threatening rain.

The Hume Highway along this section is very busy due to  roadworks restricting the traffic to one lane each way.  Pictured above is Dave cutting across the very bushy median strip to the layby where I was parked at the end of his run yesterday.

When we came back this morning, we found six caravans parked up for the night.   When asked the families said the traffic was so noisy they hardly slept.

Judging by the number of McDonald’s signs along the highway you would think that McDonald’s sponsor the highway.  When we dropped in for lunch (like everyone else did)we couldn’t believe how many people were inside.  Orginally we were going to take the picture of Dave coming through the Drive Through Section until we saw how busy it was.

Gday dave and jo, how did you go at gundagai? did you have to go through town or were you allowed to cross the bridge? We are heading up your way tomorrow morning so I will see you around bookham.

    Hi Shane

We took your advice and Dave went through the Gundagai township. When we finished we drove over the bridge and were glad we had taken your advice.

We are aiming to finish 15-20kms outside of Yass tonight so we will see you for sure.
    Jo
