If you had asked what we would be doing Friday night, being a part of Renmark’s Christmas Pageant would not have been our answer.
Earlier while running into Renmark, Dave was invited to take part in the Christmas Pageant planned for the evening. A quick booking was made and what appeared to be only minutes later we were number 29 amongst floats of all colours and sizes.
The parade took us around the town centre in hot balmy conditions. At one point Dave received a huge applause from the crowd, and along the 1.5km route the 10,000 crowd filled his barrow with donations.
In our rush we didn’t take our camera nor could we purchase a disposable one of the night, but we did take a couple of pictures on our mobile phone.
The night was so lovely we didn’t want to leave consequently, we were late to bed and are now paying the price.
We are now in Victoria having left Renmark on our way to Mildura which we hope to reach by late Monday.
Conditions here are overcast with light rain and 23c which are good running conditions.
