Late yesterday the car battery died on the Hume Highway near a place called Gunning.  It was pretty anxious there for a while thinking we may need a new starter motor, fortunately it wasn’t and our RAC membership covered us and we were on our way in an hour.

Good news, after the hills yesterday Dave’s back is still in tact and is ok.
Last night we finished 13kms west of Yass and camped the night at the Yass Caravan Park.
Dave has decided to up his daily average to 42kms per day for this week to give himself a safety net before our arrival in [...]

With our arrival in Manly Sydney 10th January (approx 11am) we now have less than two weeks to the finish.
Last night we camped at the showgrounds at Jugiong.  At 9pm a huge electrical storm hit and it poured down with rain for an hour.  Because the pop up van doesn’t handle the wind too well [...]

After having past the Dog on the Tucker Box at Gundagai, we are on our way to Jugiong.
it is still very hot and humid but the wind has turned and it is threatening rain.
The Hume Highway along this section is very busy due to  roadworks restricting the traffic to one lane each way.  Pictured above [...]
