Not content with raising money for cancer research, it seems Dave has taken on the role of droughtbreaker, dragging rainclouds with him across Australia!

Good to see the sense of humour is still functioning properly. You are making great progress!

    dear Jo and david,
great to see you sitting down on the job.
we all think your going great.
qheenscliff is near the entrance to Port phillip heads along way from where you are and probably the cold salty water might be good for Davids feet about now.
I had a few swims on the weekend and even though it was cold it was very refreshing.
    keep up the good work.
love to you both Helewn and Mike

    Dave,

Whenever you are staying here at our house in as you call it rainy England you always say I have not seen rain for years !!!.

Well the proof is in the photograph it does rain in OZ or maybe its one of those Australian outside showers.

Nice Mac Dave is it Prada !!!

Love and best wishes Nick Lydia and all the others

It is Helen Gilmour and Paul and Judith Stevens here in Yeppoon. Hi David and Joanne, it is Helen writing. I am visiting Mum and Dad in Yeppoon for a few days while Michael, my son, who is now 14 is going in a mini triathalon with Luke at Ridges Hotel on Sunday morning (19th October). I just received an email from Luke and was extremely surprised to see you pushing a wheelbarrow across Australia. Only something a mad pommy would do, not us sensible Aussies. Michael just said to put the comment in after reading what you have done “It is not who you are that defines you, it is what you do that defines you. We will now follow your trek along the way and keep in touch with you. I have just tried to call you on your mobile and have left a message. I hope we will catch you soon.
Love from Ken, Helen, Paul and Judith.

Hi David and Joanne, Mum, Dad and heap of us are here having an afternoon tea talking about your trip and watching your videos and listening to your radio interview. What must they think in Wagga Wagga listening to this mad bugger running across Australia in the extreme heat pushing a wheelbarrow of all things, talking to them in a bloody pommy accent with Australian flags flying in front of him. Only in the Australian Outback I guess. Come to think of it they probably don’t think your strange at all – just a mad Aussie. This things we will do to get into the Guiness Book or records. What sort of comments have you been getting from your kids and grand kids in England. Well we think you are doing a fantastic job and I hope you are raising heaps of money for your cause. I asked Jackie (mums friend) to see if she could catch you in Hay but unfortunately she missed you. Well we hope you have a wonderful christmas and New Year and I will keep trying to get you on the mobile phone. You never know when I will catch you with mobile reception. I have tried a few times but not luck.
All our love, Ken, Helen, Paul and Judith and all the rest of us
