How could today’s weather be so lovely after yesterday? At least it gave Dave a chance to enjoy the run. Greenmount was a hard slog …and who was it that said after Greenmount there are no other hills? Because it is a lie!
At mid morning Dave was pleasantly surprised by the arrival of Master’s Athletics member Jimmy Barnes (no not that Jimmy Barnes) who unfortunately missed Dave’s start and decided to drive to Mundaring and offer some words of encouragement and fruit to help him on his journey.
Dave took it slower today not only because of the gravel surface underfoot, but because trucks were throwing up stones as they went past him. So it wasn’t long before he changed to the other side of the road to run.
Had quick lunch at the Mundaring Bakery and received donations for Prostate Cancer while we were there.
The finish today was at The Lakes. Tomorrow’s aim is Northam which is 47kms away, so we will have to camp at Northam and then come back to where we finish.

G’day David & Jo
Glad to hear you have “dried out” after Sunday.
Not too many “carb’s” at the Mundaring Bakery I hope – they slow you down you know!!
